JOB LOCATION: Houston, Texas

JOB TITLE: Propane Bobtail Driver

JOB TYPE AND HOURS: Full-Time, M-F 8am-5pm, Saturday Rotation 8am-12pm, On-call Rotation

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Propane Route Driver delivers propane safely and efficiently to Green’s Blue Flame Gas’ residential and commercial customers. This position requires a CDL Class B License with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements. This position is for our office in Houston, TX and the customer base will be primarily commercial.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Propane Bobtail Driver shall be able to perform the following:

  • Perform Pre-Trip Inspection on bobtail truck daily
  • Load, transport, and deliver propane safely and efficiently to commercial and residential customers
  • Use company tablet to access customer accounts and print tickets
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure customer equipment is in compliance with applicable codes
  • Be available for on-call rotation
  • Be a positive image for Green’s Blue Flame Gas and uphold our reputation as an outstanding service company

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for the position shall meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class B CDL with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements
  • Certified for Bobtail by the Texas Railroad Commission, or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of employment
  • Propane bobtail experience preferred
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Ability to lift full propane cylinders
  • Have adequate computer skills
